Spring cleaning – Pompton Plains, NJ

Time for some spring cleaning on the blog now that I’m all caught up from a crazy month!  My hubby and I were hit with the flu last month and it totally threw me for a loop.  It was over two weeks that I was out of commission and losing two weeks of shooting when you photograph newborns can make life a bit crazy.  I had to reschedule so many shoots and I am so thankful for the patience of my clients.  A few weeks after recovering from the flu I started to revisit the idea of a studio space. As many of you know, I have been on location for four years now and I had visited the idea last fall, but each place I looked at was way too big for my needs.  I decided to call my realtor friend last month and wouldn’t you know that an adorable little space right next to her realtor building was about to be vacated and was just what I need for my first studio space.  It’s adorable, here is a pic.

I’m so excited to start shooting there sometime in May!  I will still be offering on location sessions in parks and other locations, non- newborn home shoots and there will be options for in home newborn sessions too.  The studio is one room and therefore there will never be anyone else there during your sessions and never any walk ins.  Sessions are by appointment only.  I am super excited about the variety I can offer in newborn accessories and props, mini sessions more than just when its nice outside and the indoor/outdoor options right on the premises.  Right now, the space is being emptied and soon I’ll be ready to move in!

So, as you can see, it’s been very busy here between all my usual sessions, the rescheduled shoots from when I had the flu and now getting the studio ready!  I’m all caught up now and getting ready for some sweet sessions over the next two days.  :)  Here are highlights from sessions in the past month or so that didn’t get to the blog.

Perfect student – Fairlawn, NJ newborn photographer

This handsome little guy’s mommy is a teacher and he was the perfect little student for this image.  Mommy had the books, apple and pencils which worked out to be so adorable.

Daddy is a sports trainer and this cutie flexed his muscles for us.  I still can’t get over the smile at this particular moment.  Perfect. That wasn’t the only smile he gave me…….

Beautiful blonde – Butler, NJ newborn photographer

When I had talked to this gorgeous little blonde’s mommy about their session, mom warned me she was such an alert baby and probably wouldn’t sleep.  As usual, babies tend to do the opposite of what we expect and she slept the entire time.  I had such a fun time on her session and she couldn’t have been more cooperative.

Daddy’s girl

Mommy’s girl too!

Little snowflake winter baby

Yet another AHP dog who jumps in at just the right moment.  What a happy big sister!
